SP600 dewatering installation

Dewatering installation for fermentation in the Netherlands

Year: 2021

Location: Sint Nicolaasga, the Netherlands

Type of product: Digestate from digester

Projecttype: FILTRATION

Description
The Smicon SP600 is a robust system made entirely of stainless steel. The SP600 is ideally suited as a standalone unpacking machine for a wide variety of products or separating the moisture from processed packaging, resulting in a lighter packaging flow. In addition, the separation process ensures a higher yield of organic product by squeezing the packaging. The SP600 is suitable for a high capacity (30m³ per hour) and has a well-controllable process due to the large diameter of the screw press.

In order to reduce the customer's waste costs as much as possible, a dewatering installation was installed at this customer's premises. This dewatering installation consists of Smicon SP600 screw presses, which are extremely suitable for pressing the remaining digestate from a fermentation process into a dry fraction. This reduces the customer's disposal costs by up to 50%.
